Legal Aid

Subject to available resources and capacity, ILN provides free legal consultations, referrals, and legal assistance to individuals and members of civil society facing human rights violations, particularly those resulting from misconduct or abuse of power by state bodies.

Through legal assessments, guidance, referrals, and legal assistance ILN assists individuals in understanding and exercising their rights and available remedies under domestic and international law. Where necessary and subject to available resources, ILN provides support to lawyers and human rights defenders to ensure the effective defense of rights and freedoms at the national and international levels.
